Carneros Bistro & Bar, situated in The Lodge at Sonoma Renaissance Resort & Spa, is the place to have a fantastic meal with an extensive wine list. Named as one of the Top 50 Restaurants in the Bay Area by San Francisco Magazine, Carneros Bistro is known for their farm-to-table food and boasts a varied list of local wines. With it’s contemporary decor and outdoor patio, Carneros Bistro & Bar is the place to have a delicious meal and to try out local wines from an aggregated selection.

Greeting you with French doors and modern decor, Passaggio Wines Tasting Room is a small locale. Located in the Sonoma Plaza, Passaggio has a plentiful range of wine. Whether it is a rosé with fruity notes of watermelon and guava, or their “Passion Blend” with notes of lychee and jasmine, these refreshing wines are great for a hot summer day.

3. Sigh

Popping a bottle of champagne is not reserved just for special occasions at Sigh. Located in the Sonoma Plaza, Sigh is the only “bubble bar” in Sonoma. This small spot has unique decor: bottle cap tables, wire-framed star lights and glass spheres suspended from the ceiling. A bar to do things a little differently, Sigh also does ‘saberage’, a technique for opening a champagne bottle with a saber, and if you purchase a saber they’ll even teach you how to do it yourself!

This wine and coffee bar, aptly named Bean & Bottle, is suitable for any time of day. Inside The Lodge at Sonoma Renaissance Resort & Spa, Bean & Bottle sits right next to the lobby. Here they serve Illy coffee and various alcoholic beverages to be enjoyed with a selection of cheeses, chocolates, pastries and Panini sandwiches. Bean & Bottle is a great place to begin the day or to end the night.

HopMonk Tavern is a must-stop place to enjoy some tasty food and some great beers. This lively venue features an outdoor seating area called the Hopmonk Sonoma Beer Garden, while live bands often perform inside. Hopmonk serves a generous variety of foods from Korean tacos to a chicken philly on naan, and there’s an excellent selection of craft beers on draft, wines and spirits.
