The Perks of a Modern Day Blogger

Maxwell Tylim

The modern day blogger’s influence and reach has expanded dramatically. As an ever increasing number of consumers trade traditional media outlets for blogs as their primary source of information on pop culture. With often millions of followers, these bloggers have the power to change perspectives around the world. Vibe Israel, an Israel based non-profit provides a unique experience for some of the top international bloggers to experience Israel through their personal fields of expertise.

Bloggers at INTV Conference

In the mainstream media Israel is often perceived as in conflict with its neighbors and little is mentioned of its innovative energy, vast cultural diversity and flourishing industries. Like any country, Israel has many different faces and Vibe exposes this sometimes unknown vibrant energy. Vibe offers an all-expenses paid, intensive one week trip to Israel, to lead panels, tour innovative start-ups, meet and exchange ideas with leaders in their industry and of course relax and soak up the sun, all whilst sharing experiences with their blog following.

With Israeli TV mastermind Erez Tal

Vibe recently hosted six bloggers and online journalists who are experts in modern entertainment and TV industry. Their journey began with the INTV conference, a two-day summit in Jerusalem where they met keynote speakers including the CEO of HBO, executives from AMC and ABC, as well as several local and international TV personalities. The bloggers also led several panels at the conference in which they shared their experiences and in depth knowledge of the modern entertainment industry. A highlight of the conference was Oli Franklin-Wellis and Jessica Reese participating as guest panelists in the Techdate sessions where the blogger’s pitched their ideas to potential investors and users.

Next up was an Innovation Tour in Tel Aviv where the bloggers met top innovators behind some of Israel’s cutting edge startups. MTV Israel provided the grand finale with a presentation of their newest music video trivia app MTV Music Master which progressed into an excellent drinking game.

The last leg of the journey was a trip down to the Negev, where award winning series Yellow Peppers was shot. This leg included some off- road jeep rides, an outdoor cookout and a visit to the Game of Chefs studio in which they got a firsthand experience meeting the reality show’s judges and highly regarded chefs. The trip was then capped off with a mingling event at the wondrous Mansion House in Tel Aviv where the bloggers had a chance to unwind and re-connect with the professionals they met throughout the trip.

Since you are here, we would like to share our vision for the future of travel - and the direction Culture Trip is moving in.

Culture Trip launched in 2011 with a simple yet passionate mission: to inspire people to go beyond their boundaries and experience what makes a place, its people and its culture special and meaningful — and this is still in our DNA today. We are proud that, for more than a decade, millions like you have trusted our award-winning recommendations by people who deeply understand what makes certain places and communities so special.

Increasingly we believe the world needs more meaningful, real-life connections between curious travellers keen to explore the world in a more responsible way. That is why we have intensively curated a collection of premium small-group trips as an invitation to meet and connect with new, like-minded people for once-in-a-lifetime experiences in three categories: Culture Trips, Rail Trips and Private Trips. Our Trips are suitable for both solo travelers, couples and friends who want to explore the world together.

Culture Trips are deeply immersive 5 to 16 days itineraries, that combine authentic local experiences, exciting activities and 4-5* accommodation to look forward to at the end of each day. Our Rail Trips are our most planet-friendly itineraries that invite you to take the scenic route, relax whilst getting under the skin of a destination. Our Private Trips are fully tailored itineraries, curated by our Travel Experts specifically for you, your friends or your family.

We know that many of you worry about the environmental impact of travel and are looking for ways of expanding horizons in ways that do minimal harm - and may even bring benefits. We are committed to go as far as possible in curating our trips with care for the planet. That is why all of our trips are flightless in destination, fully carbon offset - and we have ambitious plans to be net zero in the very near future.
