The Best Bracelet Bars In Tel Aviv

Serena Carsley-Mann

Getting drunk can be a very expensive activity, especially in Tel Aviv. Thankfully, there are many bars in Tel Aviv that now have a ‘bracelet’ concept. You pay one unbelievably reasonable price and order as much as you’d like. You can choose different color of bracelets based on what type of alcohol you desire. Regardless of how much you choose to drink, not having to worry about what your bill will be allows you to relax and enjoy your night. Here are some of the best.

Tangier Bar

1. Tangier

Restaurant, Moroccan, Mediterranean

Tangier’s décor, and a delicious Moroccan-themed menu will surely make you feel like you are somewhere in the Middle East. With a young, vibrant atmosphere, Tangier offers several bracelet deals and special-themed evenings. Check out their very reasonably priced ‘Pinky Ladies Night’. It’s the perfect way to save money with your girlfriends or to take a girl out on a budget. If you do this, just make sure to act surprised about their ‘Ladies’ deal.

2. Monday Night: HaMezeg

Bar, Greek, Mediterranean, Caribbean

HaMezeg in Hebrew means both ‘temperament’ and ‘the act of pouring.’ It is actually the first bar to start the all-you-can-drink bracelet concept. Perhaps this explains why customers have remained so loyal. No matter which day of the week, this bar is always packed with tons of people standing outside drinking and enjoying themselves. Inside, you will find Mediterranean music and décor that resembles a Greek tavern. Their ‘Tiki’ nights are recommended, as they offer Caribbean music and exotic new cocktails.

3. Biggy Z

Bar, Pub, Mexican

Backy Bar

This popular bar has reasonable bracelet deals, usually attracts an older crowd (25+) and is well known for its Mexican nights. Put on your sombrero and be careful not to get pricked by their decorative cacti. The sweet potatoes fried in tempura are a must-try and the rest of their Southern-style menu is also worth checking out. Between the décor and food, you will truly feel like you are at a Jazz bar in New Orleans. Indeed, Biggy Z was actually a club that originated in New Orleans but destroyed in 2005 during Hurricane Katrina. Biggy decided to move to Tel Aviv and bring New Orleans over with him.

4. Wednesday Night: Backy Bar

Bar, Israeli

Backy Bar offers different experiences depending on the night, yet it is always completely relaxed and unpretentious. Some nights it is the ideal place to watch the game with the boys, and on the weekends, it offers a real Tel Aviv, loud and happening experience. It is the epitome of a ‘dance bar.’ If you pay them a visit on Wednesday night, you’ll get to hear their live DJ. Generally, the music varies, as it has a very diverse crowd with its central location on Ibn Gabriol Street.

5. HaHoog Hatzfoni

Bar, Israeli

After a long week of going to bars every night and possibly studying every day, you are wiped out and need to relax, have a drink, or better yet, a bracelet. HaHoog Hatzfoni, an outdoor garden bar, is located right outside the Tel Aviv University campus. It is the perfect and most effortless way to celebrate the end of the week and the start of the weekend, and if you live in the campus dorms or in Ramat Aviv, you do not have to spend money on transportation.

6. Casa Veranda

Bar, Cocktail Bar, Gastropub, Restaurant, Seafood

Rutina

This bustling bar, formerly known as ‘Rotcha,’ is located right in the heart of Rothschild and is the place to be on a Friday night. The outdoor terrace seating offers a view of Rothschild Boulevard, which is a unique experience in and of itself, especially on a Friday night where practically all of Tel Aviv is going by, either coming to or from one of Rothschild’s trendy restaurants or bars. The bar is tucked inside a modern Bauhaus building and the purple-toned lighting gives it a unique feel. This is the only bar on Rothschild with bracelet deals, plus they offer a very extensive food menu as well as special cocktails.

7. Rutina

Bar, Israeli

It’s Saturday night, it’s been a long week and Sunday is a working day, yet one cannot simply stay home in Tel Aviv. Rutina is the essence of the Tel Aviv no-frills, neighborhood, hang-out bar. It’s that place at the corner of Dizengoff and Frishman that you’ve always wanted to check out because it’s always full of people, smiles and laughter. Watch Dizengoff Street open up and become lively again as people start to come out after Shabbat. Don’t forget to grab a Shwarma across the street after a night out, as you will most likely be craving it after your bottomless drinks! It is mostly for the 25+ crowd, and the feeling Rutina gives off is truly ‘good vibes only.’
