A huge variety of great shows will soon be landing on theatre stages across Central London, as the summer season picks up and tourists fill the global theatre capital. We’ve picked out five very different theatrical productions for all to enjoy, from musicals to literary adaptations.

‘Ol’ Blue Eyes’ is coming back into town as Frank Sinatra’s extraordinary life is celebrated in the theatre where he magnificently performed for the first time 65 years ago.

Told through an immense 24-piece orchestra, dancers, unseen performance footage, and of course unique and original musical recordings, the play’s story also celebrates Sinatra’s centenary birthday and delves into his incredible life through personal family photos, films and rare interviews.

The Trial by Franz Kafka at the Young Vic, Waterloo, 19 June – 8 August 2015

Two year’s after his Evening Standard Award-winning performance in Othello at The National Theatre, Rory Kinnear returns to the stage playing a thrilling lead role in this adaptation of Kafka’s classic. The story follows protagonist K, who after being disturbed in his home by an uninviting visit from state agents, is accused of an unknown crime. Puzzled by the escalating persecution from an ominous bureaucracy, K is stuck in a living nightmare. The Trial is an adaptation by Nick Gill and will be directed by Richard Jones.
