This very popular restaurant, Brasserie Le DonJon, offers a regional menu. Booking is recommended because the place is always busy. We recommend you try their well cooked fish dishes, such as the grilled bream with Marseillette red rice risotto. Aside from a wide variety of regional starters and mains, they also serve assortments of cheeses. The dessert menu offers many tempting options, including the world-renowned French specialty crème brûlée.

Loved by the locals and located in the countryside just outside Carcassonne, the Domaine Michaud is one of the best restaurants in the area. The restaurant has a picturesque countryside setting and the view from the hill is stunning. The meals are made using fresh ingredients and the menu changes depending on the season. Watch out for their soups during the winter, and let the chef surprise you with the daily specials or ‘propositions du chef’. The menu includes various vegetarian options.

This is the only Michelin-star restaurant in Carcassone, so if you want to try the best gourmet dishes in the city this is the place to come. They have a set lunch menu and different menu options for dinner. Enjoy their grilled royal seabream, garnished with turnip and chicory, among other delicious dishes. For dessert, they’ll tempt you with options such as the bitter chocolate on an almond shortbread, cocoa crumble and a caramel ice cream.

He also runs a shop right in front of the restaurant where you can buy a variety of products and foods. The restaurant combines a bistro atmosphere with top-quality gastronomy.
