1. Kødbyens Fiskebar

Kødbyens Fiskebar is one of the best seafood restaurants in the Danish capital. Stop here to relax in a cozy atmosphere and enjoy delicious food. The restaurant has simple, Nordic style design, with long tables and couches. Try tasteful and fresh fish and shellfish made in an open kitchen. You can order smaller portions or one big main dish, or consider opting for a seven course tasting menu for the whole experience.

2. JuicyBurger

JuicyBurger is a cozy and welcoming restaurant, known for its quality burgers made fr locally produced ingredients. The buns are fresh from the oven, and the meat comes from Danish island Funen, with every patty made to order. JuicyBurger is also the home of famous Danish TV chef Henrik Boserup, so there’s no better place to go to be guaranteed the highest quality burger.

3. Restaurant KUL

Restaurant KUL specialises in international cuisine, prepared on the grill or in the Josper grill oven. KUL offers smaller dishes in starter size (great if you can’t make you mind up) or larger dishes, which you are invited to share with your dinner party.

Fleisch is an innovative restaurant, combining a butcher store, restaurant area and a bar. The restaurant’s name comes from German word for meat, highlighting the focus food of the place. Fleisch’s interior is made in industrial style, with white ceramic tiles on walls, simple wooden furniture and showing off packed meat hooks. Fleisch is known for delicious dishes made from high quality, organic and locally produced produce. Try the seven course menu composed by the chef, or mix and match smaller dishes. Don’t miss out on special, meat-themed drinks, such as homemade organic bacon-infused bourbon.

5. BioMio

BioMio, also known as BOB restaurant, is a trendy hotspot restaurant, known for its entirely organic menu. It has been named as a CLIMATE+ restaurant and green café, so its environmental impact is minimal. The restaurant has a large open kitchen and you can talk to the chef if you have any questions or special requests. Great for wholesome, tasty meals. Try roast pork with zucchini, summer cabbage and new potatoes, or baked cod with smoked brandade, fennel and Emperor hats.

6. Restaurant Gorilla

Restaurant Gorilla is an elegant restaurant, with a warm and relaxed atmosphere. The interior is made of light wood and floor-to-ceiling windows on one side. The place is lit by candles and small lights, giving it a warm glow. The restaurant is split into two areas, classic restaurant space and bar area. The dishes are based on Mediterranean cuisine and include smaller dishes, meant to be shared, and an à la carte menu. For a whole tasting experience, order a 10 course menu and enjoy in delicious food, accompanied by fruity wines.

Right in the heart of the Meatpacking District you can find Mother, a restaurant serving delicious Italian food. Their pizzas are works of art, with toppings creatively displayed upon fluffy-yet-crispy sourdough bases, the Danish twist on this Italian classic. The restaurant takes special pride in its firewood oven. The chef is Italian and prepares authentic food. Try their daily special, which includes a main meat or fish dish and giant salad.

Drop by Tommi’s Burger Joint to try tasty homemade burgers with crisp fries, for a very reasonable price. The owner of the place is Tomas Tómasson, an Icelandic burger enthusiast. The menu is simple yet perfectly prepared, plenty of additional toppings available, as well as a selection of mouth-watering shakes. Enjoy the relaxed and hipster interior, grab a bite of delicious food and order a glass of refreshing drink. During summer months you can sit outside and watch the setting sun.

Experience a mealtime like no other by browsing through up to 70 stalls at Meatpacking District’s food market. The market is open during the summer months, every Saturday and Sunday from morning until evening. The market aims to sell high quality produce at low prices and is known for its diverse food selection, where you won’t find same stalls every week.
