This Art Deco-style building was one of the first broadcasting buildings in Europe that witnessed some of the most important moments of the national media. In the 1930s, Flagey was used as the headquarters of the National Institute for Radio Broadcasting (NIR), which for more than 30 years was the audiovisual center of excellence. Today, Flagey continues to serve as a meeting point for culture lovers, as it houses the Flagey Arts Centre. Here, artists can exchange ideas and work together and others can come to appreciate a diverse cultural programming that includes film festivals, music concerts and much more.
