writer of the best article receives a free Travel Bag of 3 books or
films and will be featured on our homepage, published in our newsletter
and promoted via our social media channels.
The Culture Trip aims to showcase the world’s best art and culture by covering 4 broad domains for each country: art, literature, film and music.
Articles can range from overview pieces on the literary giants of a
given country, to features on its contemporary artists, groundbreaking
film directors or iconic musicians. This month’s competition focuses on 'Icons of Culture' . The deadline for our January competition is 31 January 2013.
The style and tone of your article(s) should be scholarly and
critical whilst avoiding being too dry and theoretical. They can range
from 750 to 1500 words in length. When possible, they
should include one or more video clips (YouTube / Vimeo), relevant to
the topic. We also like to add some actual books and films relating to
the article, so make a few suggestions if you can.

In lieu of our monthly competition, our November competition was postponed because our team has been hard at work to bring you our newly redesigned site with numerous improvements to make your experience on our site even better!

Photo Competition
Showcase your photographs or videos in our newest monthly competition.
The winning entrant receives a free Travel Bag of books or films and
will be featured and credited on our website, published in our
newsletter and promoted via our social media channels.
The Culture Trip very carefully chose the background pictures for
each country’s section, as it does determine the general feel of the
site. We always tried to choose beautiful background pictures less
commonly associated with a given country and had a strong preference for
cityscapes. We are now looking for more photographs and videos that
reveal or highlight the architectural style(s) of cities from around the
world. We also like artistic takes on conventional travel footage and
photography, in particular of urban settings.
Photos can be submitted in JPEG or PNG format, whilst videos must be
uploaded onto YouTube or Vimeo. They will be presented on the site in
our Gallery format.
