Vegan food is hard to come by in Bangkok. For the most part, veg heads are left to fend for themselves in this city, with streets upon streets lined with food stalls selling almost nothing but meat. That being said, we decided to check out one vegan restaurant in downtown Bangkok.

The Theme

‘Cute’ is the word that comes to mind when stepping foot into one of Bangkok’s best vegan restaurants, May Veggie Home. Even the name is cute. May Veggie Home only serves 100 per cent vegan food.

The Food

To every vegan’s delight, there is not one but four different veggie burgers to choose from, including its signature veggie burger, made of beans, 15 different spices and served on a whole-wheat English muffin. An assortment of curries can be found and cooked with everything from tofu to vegetarian shrimp. The restaurant also serves up vegetarian versions of steak and chicken.

The Desserts and Drinks

One of May Veggie Home’s specialities is its mouthwatering juices. Though not included in its online menu, customers can order a fresh juice made out of some interesting combinations. We recommend trying the pineapple and basil leaf juice.

After finishing your meal, be sure to browse some of the vegan ice cream and desserts May Veggie Home has to offer.
